Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
It is essential to upgrade your items to maximize your gearing potential. It lets you add additional bonus stats on top of the value of your basic item.
Each upgrade template comes with a set of options which can be changed through the edition GUI. These options include the upgrading reference and the upgrading chance.

As part of the 2.0 update the system for upgrading the armor and weapons in Cyberpunk was redesigned. Upgrade components are scattered throughout Night City. The item you'd like to upgrade should also have an upgrade slot. The game will show a preview of the item's expected stats after upgrading. It will also display the component or material needed. If you don't have the required level of component or resource to upgrade an item, then the button will read "Blocked."
